The opportunity is open to eligible applicants from African countries and India applying for selected postgraduate taught programmes in Health and Life Sciences. However, the 2026 application cycle is now closed. The official page states that the scholarship deadline was 29 May 2026. Agency-referred candidates are not eligible for this particular award.

For applications made on or after 1 September 2025, a single student studying outside Quebec must show CAD 22,895 for living expenses, excluding tuition and transportation. You must also demonstrate how you will finance the full programme if it lasts longer than one year.
For the UK, the current GOV.UK Student visa financial guidance requires:
- £1,529 per month for up to nine months for study in London
- £1,171 per month for up to nine months for study outside London
